Here in the Speech Systems Lab we are focused on understanding the fundamentals of the structure, operation, and evolution of speech systems.

We apply tools and methods from acoustics, audio-visual measurement, aerodynamics, eye-tracking, and EEG in the study of human speech, and look to a wide range of languages, multilingual backgrounds, and ages in studying speech structures and processing.
